Goldberg bought a champion greyhound and thought he would make a fortune at the dog track. But very sadly, the dog died before it could race.

A few months later Goldberg met Ginsberg who asked about the dog. "What! It died before it could make you a shekel? And such a famous dog! It's terrible.

"The dog made me a mint," said Goldberg.
"How so," enquired Ginsberg, astonished. Simple.

I organised a raffle for the dog and I sold hundreds of tickets at £5.00 a time.

"Raffle a dead dog? And no complaints?

"Sure, but only from the shmuck that won! So I gave him his £5.00 back!"
