It has been cleared for publication that an IDF reserve soldier was killed and another sustained moderate wounds at around noon Friday during exchanges of fire with Hizbullah terrorists in the south Lebanese village of Rashef. Four more soldiers were lightly injured during elite unit activity in south Lebanon’s eastern sector. The fighting continued on Friday in several locations: IDF reservists operating in the south Lebanon village of Rajmin killed several terrorists and uncovered weapons caches. During the morning hours an anti-tank missile was fired at an IDF convoy traveling in the area; two soldiers were lightly and moderately wounded in the incident. An explosive device was set off in the village of Qanatra, resulting in light injuries to five IDF soldiers; earlier several weapons were found in the village. In another battle in south Lebanon’s eastern sector an IDF solider was moderately wounded and another troop suffered light wounds. The Israeli Air Force carried out 120 attacks in Lebanon on Friday, during which some 60 Hizbullah structures were struck, in addition to bridges, roads, three gas stations and eight rocket launchers; two of the rocket launchers that were struck were used to fire long-range 302-mm Syrian-made rockets toward Israel.Trackback(0)
