Promised a good "fright" -- which I enjoy as much as my daughter does -- I was stunned to be forced into the position of having to explain to her WHY the girl had blood on her nightgown, why the father was murdered by his daughter, why the ghost said "help her" -- and so I made up another ending in which the mom saved the present-day girl, of course. Because that's what Moms do. This Mom will NEVER trust the age-ratings again, and as far as knowing what my kid watches -- well, obviously, watching it with her isn't enough. Now I have to watch it first myself, just to make sure.
