Waitrose have dropped their prices for broadband service in the UK in an attempt to fall in line with the impending price war. However El Reg has quite rightly pointed out their prices are still nowhere near competitive.

However they do offer free hardware, free setup, free support and unlimited usage, with 100MB web hosting and unlimited e-mail addresses with virus protection.

Waitrose.com claims to be the only broadband ISP to donate all its proceeds to charity. The four major charities are British Red Cross, Macmillan Cancer Relief, British Heart Foundation and Prince's Trust. Users get to vote on how the donations are divided.
