Tiscali in bid firing line

After a series of blunders over the last few months we feel Tiscali is finding it difficult to survive. We've heard rumours that Tiscali is seeking a potential buyer for it's French operations, in a possible attempt to pay off a £173m loan due in July. It admitted that it has received offers but claimed it wants to keep it as part of its focussed European strategy.

Last year Wanadoo, France Telecom's Internet arm, carefully considered buying Tiscali before firmly tying the knot with it's parent company. Although denied by Tiscali, El Reg reported last month Tiscali was prepping it's French Liberty Surf operation for sale to France Telecom.
